Ode To The - Collection
ODE TO THE, is a compilation of joyfulness and openness, an invitation to discover a landscape made of Odes gone spatial.
Deeply inspired by Basque artists, Jorge de Oteiza and Eduardo Chillida, and their blend within sculpture, landscape and architecture, we present to you our latest exploration.
We believe everyone has their favourite image of a landscape.
As a figure - The Landscape - (a non-specific one, but your favorite one), and the gesture of creating a new way of a landscape is the very core of inspiration in this collection. We have brought together (un)material resources of life and nature such as Lightness, Breeze, Stream, Serenity, Tide and Freedom, and made them matter through pure abstraction.
We know abstraction needs balance.
As a sense - The Balance - guides this collection. Balance between void space and matter, movement and serenity, statement and lightness, negatives and volumes.
Volumes almost free of weight, subtle and free. Volumes that seem to be dancing, folding, yet at the same time both absorbing and releasing towards spatiality.
The real play is not within the starting figure, but in the way how it transforms itself. It is about the space that it generates and the energy it involves with its movement, translucency and its language of transformation, producing it in a new form - form as an ode to the (un)material.
